About Us
748 Air Services was launched over 25 years ago in support of UN “Operation Lifeline Sudan” in response to a devastating war-induced famine and other humanitarian consequences of the Second Sudanese Civil War between the Sudanese government and South Sudanese rebels. The mission was to deliver Humanitarian Air Services to all civilians in need, regardless of their location or political affiliation. The 1st aircraft utilized for this mission was a Hawker Siddeley 748 workhorse, which was both a passenger and freighter aircraft. 748 Air Services borrows its name from the Hawker Siddeley 748 aircraft.
Today, the company has grown to be a world-class air charter company in the region. We lead the flock, with expedient delivery of tonnes of cargo to a remote destination, or comfortable and safe transportation of passenger delegations and VIPs.
We pride ourselves as experts in providing first class services in third world conditions. Hence, we are currently operating from Kenya (Nairobi, Lokichoggio), Somalia (Mogadishu), South Sudan (Juba), DRC Congo (Goma), Chad (Ndjamena, Gozbeida), Niger (Niamey) and Mali (Bamako).

Air Cargo Solutions
The main pillar of our sustainable growth is through genuine innovation and solution- oriented research that are central for effectively responding to demand.
In the advent of COVID-19 crisis, many challenges were experienced including broad government mandates of restricting Passengers and Cargo movement indefinitely, with exceptions given to humanitarian air services.
748 Air Services has responded with Air Cargo Solutions to the Humanitarian Organizations, Government Institutions and Freight Forwarders. Our new cargo solution is driven by our goal to be reliable, responsive, and sensitive to the specific and sometimes complex requirements of timely cargo deliveries. Needless to say, we have the necessary experience, financial and human resources to deliver cargo devoid of complications inherent in our continent.
Air Cargo Consolidation
We have the capabilities to deliver all cargo to all African destinations. However, the following goods shall be excluded:
- Dangerous goods
- Perishable goods
To enable cargo consolidation, we have acquired storage space at JKIA, Blue Bird Aviation Shed just outside the JKIA Cargo Centre.
The very secure storage can accommodate in separate identifiable cages more than 50tons of cargo at any time.
